Bekaert and SAP SuccessFactors: Better together

Founded in Zwevegem (Belgium) in 1880, Bekaert is a world leader in steel wire transformation and coating technologies. The company serves a very broad range of sectors such as automotive, energy, construction, equipment and agriculture. Headquartered in Belgium, Bekaert employs almost 30,000 people worldwide.
Wanted: integrated recruitment management
To support its global HR processes, the company has been using SAP HCM for quite some time. In addition, Bekaert relied on a legacy recruitment system. However, the latter was not integrated into SAP, nor did it offer support for recruiting globally. It was clear that Bekaert needed a new solution if it wanted to take its recruiting processes to the next level in order to:
- strengthen its attractiveness to candidates by having a strong employer brand and an environment where candidates can easily find job openings;
- streamline and optimize regional recruitment and selection processes to leverage its global scale;
- support and stimulate internal mobility by posting all vacancies internally.
Working better together
Together with Flexso, Bekaert decided to implement the Recruiting Management and Recruiting Posting solution from SAP SuccessFactors Talent Solutions and integrate it into its SAP HCM platform. Flexso developed and configured global templates for use throughout the organization, set up the solution and coordinated the project. To make sure the platform would fit the users’ needs perfectly, Flexso closely involved the HR team and regional offices in every decision it made.
The result? Today, employees, hiring managers, HR and recruiters at Bekaert sites around the globe happily use the user-friendly, internal suite to source, select and engage new talent. The new, intuitive Bekaert job description pages will encourage talent to try their luck and apply to the steel wire manufacturer’s vacancies.
